Coral Reef Fish... Where?... Around the Coral Reef Islands In the Coral Sea
Coral Reef Fish are found around the coral islands. These range from small coral cays to huge coral reef islands covered in rainforest and surrounded by beautiful white beaches. It was Lee Marvin with his regular trips to the reef for marlin fishing, who made this sport so popular.
Just as popular, maybe more so, are the fishing trips out to the reef for the varied reef fish. Those who are lucky enough to have their own suitable boat can go whenever they choose. For those not so lucky there are plenty of boats who do fishing trips of varying lengths, or you can even charter the boat yourself.
Do one of the sightseeing trips and be rewarded by just seeing the beautiful Great Barrier Reef coral with the colourful fish swimming around.
Because there are nearly 1,000 islands in that 2,000kms, I’m going to divide them into
North Pacific
and South Pacific for ease of reference. As I live within a stone’s throw… well, a few engine revs… of the Northern group, and that’s the part I know and love the best, guess where I am going to start?Right – the Northern.
You'll find out all about the islands from Haggerstone Island in the north, to Lizard Island in the south
here.
